Sonam Kapoor to receive the Icon of India Award

Sonam Kapoor will be awarded with the Icon of India Award taking for her contribution to Indian cinema. The actress has been selected especially for her impeccable performance as Neerja Bhannot in Ram Madhvani’s ‘Neerja’. The 11^th Asiavision Movie Awards will be held at the Sharjah cricket stadium on 18^th November, where Sonam will be honoured.

Radhika Apte will also be awarded for her performance in films like ‘Parched’, ‘Phobia’ and ‘Kabali’. Karisma Kapoor, John Abraham, Rani Mukerji, Tabu and Jackie Shroff have earlier been honoured with this prestigious award.

On the work front, Sonam will be next seen in Shashanka Ghosh’s comedy film ‘Veere Di Wedding’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
