So finally is this the date for the teaser release of 2.0?

We have reported umpteen times and are going to do that again today that Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0, directed by visionary filmmaker S.Shankar, was announced back in 2016, and was all set to release on Diwali 2017, that too in 3D. However, the entire crew wanted a lot more time to complete the VFX of the film and postponed it to the Republic Day weekend, 2018, but the fate of the film’s release continued to hang in the balance even then.

After much ado, it seems the film may finally see the lights of the day, and the teaser may be out on May 27, during the IPL finale. Well, that just made the closing ceremony a lot grander.

Also starring Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey, the film’s budget has now reached the roof and now stands at a jaw-dropping 450 crores. Surpassing Bahubali by leaps and bounds, 2.0 is now officially the most expensive film in the history of Indian Cinema. Hope it can arrive at a release date soon.
