Is SLB to blame for the Kolhapur set burning incident?

Bhansali is surely having the controversies of a lifetime, courtesy Padmavati. In the last week of January, a group of Rajasthan based religious group behaved brutally with the national award winning filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Not only that, they also ransacked the sets on the grounds of distortion of facts in the script.

Post that, perhaps Bhansali thought that he will be able to shoot peacefully in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. But lady luck still wasn’t on his side as the Kohlapur Padmavati set, which was erected to shoot a battle scene, was almost reduced to ashes by about two dozen unidentified men at 1 am.

In response to this, Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Deepak V. Kesarkar stated that Bhansali denied night security for the battle set. Since the incident, the original protection of one officer and five constables solely for the day time has been upgraded to one officer and twelve constables.

Kesarkar added that the local police met and requested Bhansali to lodge a formal complaint. As of now, the matter is being heavily probed and 2 arrests have been made.

Will Bhansali ever get to shoot his film peacefully? Who knows.
