“Sidharth Not Part Of Salman Khan’s Race 3” – Remo D’souza

Ever since the makers of Race 3 have confirmed that none other than our Bhaijaan, Salman Khan will play the lead character in Race 3 after replacing Saif Ali Khan, there has undoubtedly been a lot of excitement around the project. But, whenever there’s a new movie with a star like Salman in it, there is also A LOT of speculation about who will play the other pivotal characters. A LOT of names like Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, and even Salman’s Jai Ho girl, Daisy Shah were attached to Remo D’Souza’s film.

Now, just before leaving on location scouting for the film, Remo D’Souza clarified the casting bit of the film by saying, “Other than Salman, no other cast member has been announced yet. I am aware that a lot of names are being tossed around, but the rumors are not true.”

Talking about where Race 3 is at the moment, he said, “Pre-production work for Race 3 has begun. I leave for a recce in the Gulf today, among other places. Most of the film will be shot abroad and it rolls by November.”

On the topic of being compared to the original director duo of the franchise, Abbas-Mustan, he said, “I can’t be compared to them. They are the baap of all directors. I am taking up this film as a challenge and am eager to go beyond the dance genre. The Race franchise has slick thrills and great music; I am fond of both elements.”

Although Abbas-Mustan might have made the franchise as big as it is, we can’t wait to see how the film, and the cast, will be like under your rule.
