Sidharth Malhotra, Ekta Kapoor and Mohit Suri to REUNITE!
The trio of Sidharth Malhotra, Ekta Kapoor and Mohit Suri, that delivered the blockbuster, Ek Villain, is about to reunite for another project. The details regarding the film are yet to be unveiled, but a close source has confirmed and stated, “It’s a small town love story with edgy characters. As soon as Ekta heard it, she immediately reached out to Sidharth. She believes it’s a great role and a perfect film for them to come together. The film is expected to roll in a couple of months. The makers will begin the recce soon and decide the leading lady”.
On the work-front, Ekta Kapoor’s next production, Veere Di Wedding, which was scheduled for a release on the 18th of May, has now been pushed to the 1st of June. Meanwhile, nothing is known about Mohit Suri’s next film either. There were reports he had signed Aditya Roy Kapur and Kriti Sanon for his next romantic drama, but Kriti left the film to accommodate her dates for Housefull 4.
As far as Sidharth Malhotra is concerned, it has been a bumpy ride for the actor after the gigantic success of Ek Villain. Almost all his next releases, Baar Baar Dekho, A Gentleman and Aiyaary performed disappointingly at the box-office. There are reports he will be seen in Captain Vikram Batra’s biopic but there has been no official announcement regarding the same.
Hope the handsome star can bounce back and give us and him a major hit at the box-office.
