Shera gets a clean chit in pub staff assault case

Salman Khan’s bodyguard, Shera, who was accused of assaulting a staff in a Vile Parle pub last week, has been given a clean chit in the case. Shera was booked for assault on the basis of a complaint by Attar Umar Qureshi and the case was being investigated by Bandra police.

Attar had accused Shera of attacking him at gunpoint and even breaking his collar bone after a brawl on October 25. Shera had denied all allegations, claiming he just had ‘a verbal argument’ with Qureshi. However, Shera was arrested by DN Nagar police under IPC 326 (Voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 503 (Criminal intimidation), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace).

In a surprising turn of events, the complainant, Attar has confessed that he faked the incident involving Shera in order to extort money from his employer, Salman Khan. As of now Shera has been given a clean chit and police is taking action against Attar Umar Qureshi.
