Shahid Kapoor to AGE BACKWARDS for his next!

Shahid Kapoor is presumably on cloud nine as of now since his first ever performance as a regal king is being widely applauded in his first-ever epic drama, Padmaavat. But, looks like Shahid is no mood to keep basking in its success as he will soon begin to work on Shree Narayan Singh’s next, Batti Gul Meter Chaalu, which is a social drama that will talk about the disparity in electricity distribution.

But, did you know that the actor, who is all of 36 now, will sport a look that will make him look at least 10 years younger in the film?

This surely means that the man will shave off the beard that we have become so used to seeing on screen. But, why is looking like someone in his 20’s for Batti Gul Meter Chaalu so crucial?

Producer Prernaa Arora reveals that, “Shahid plays a young local boy from Uttarakhand who is a diehard romantic. The costume designer duo has been working with artisans in villages of the North Indian state and sourcing fabrics locally to ensure authenticity. Shahid will be wearing lots of bright sweaters and jackets since the story unfolds in winter,”

Well, looks like it’s going to be back to his Ishq Vishk days all over again, right?

Apart from Kapoor, the social drama will also feature Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam.
