Shah Rukh Khan speaks up on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Sahir Ludhianvi biopic

Everyone is aware that Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are in talks about a film based on the life of poet, Sahir Ludhianvi. The actor-director duo will be working together for the second time after Devdas. The buzz was that this film was first offered to Fawad Khan and Irfan Khan before it landed with SRK.

In a recent media interaction for the promotions of Raees, Shah Rukh spoke on the same. He said, “I have read the script. Red Chillies was doing it. Now I am glad Sanjay has taken it. I met him twice and he showed me the script and I have liked it. It is a very nice script but we haven’t confirmed anything yet. I am going to meet SLB on 27th or 28th if he is free from Padmavati.”

The story of the film revolves around Sahir Ludhianvi‘s relationship with poetess-novelist Amrita Pritam before he went on to court singer-actress Sudha Malhotra.
