Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in for some legal trouble?

In the Information age, although it has become easy to gain access to almost ANYTHING you want to know about the topic of your choice, it has become a new place for criminals to conduct sophisticated crimes. It is often sad to see our very own favorite celebrities, especially the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shah Rukh Khan being dragged into the matter.
In one such instance, a complaint has been registered against the Ghaziabad-based firm Webwork Trade Links, who has allegedly duped around 2 lakh people via a click-for-cash Ponzi scheme through their online portal Addsbook.com. According to their scheme, the investors would receive cash for every click on their online ads in exchange for a yearly fee. The amount collected by the investors summed up to a total of 500 crores. Suddenly, according to the complaint registered, the website went down and the contact numbers became unreachable. Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui were the people who had endorsed the portal.
Although they were named in the complaint, the legal authorities in charge of the investigation have not termed them to be accused. The emails have been sent to the offices of the actors, which they yet have to respond to.
Addsbook.com was a website of a shadow organization Addsbook Marketing Pvt. Ltd, who roped in Khan and Siddiqui as their brand ambassadors for the site and began running ads on TV news channels. The report stated “People have invested heavily as they were influenced by both celebrities,”
The complainant, Amit Jain, who was also duped by the scheme, stated that when he reached the office, he was threatened. It is also said that the company started forcing people to open Bitcoin accounts. Bitcoin is a kind of virtual currency.
The investigation is now in being conducted by the CBI, upon the directives of the Allahabad High Court. The bureau has re-registered the complaint that was earlier filed by the state police.
