Before being termed King Khan, the newcomer, Shah Rukh Khan ruled the Indian Television scene from 1988-89. That era was undoubtedly known as the Golden Era of the Television industry. At the time, he made waves amongst the audience as Shekharan, a circus person who hailed from the south in the hit TV Show Circus.
Now, for those who have not yet got the chance to see Shah Rukh Khan as a fresh face in the industry, here’s your chance. Recently, Doordarshan posted this tweet:
That’s right, fellas. Circus is all set to air on Doordarshan once again! Especially for those who want to experience and relive the dawn of the mega superstar of our age. In the light of this news, his co-star at the time Renuka Sahane posted:
The TV Show, unlike many of our times, has a fabulous story with realistic drama.
Shah Rukh Khan once told a leading daily “What I have been made to understand is that TV’s reach is extending into the heartland of India more than ever before. So, TV series [now] are actually turning to those kinds of stories (subjects that audiences from India’s interiors can relate to), which is very interesting.”
We are surely looking forward to (looking back at, rather) witnessing Shah Rukh Khan‘s style before he became the uncrowned king of B-town.What about you?
