Shah Rukh Khan to be a Fauji once again?
Out of all the avatars that Shah Rukh Khan has played in the glorious 25 years of his career, our most beloved persona of his has been the ones where he has dawned an Army uniform. SRK has slain at every step of the way whenever he has played the army man, be it in his TV Show Fauji or on the silver screen with Army, Main Hoon Na or Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Shah Rukh Khan, being the genius that he is, is somewhere very well aware of this, so he’s gearing up to treat us one more time with a gut-wrenching story from the past which will be produced by his eponymous home productions Red Chillies Entertainment.
The story in question will be of Operation Khukri, which was carried out by the Indian Air Force in 2000 in a West African tropical forest. The mission was to airlift 223 Indian diplomats who were visiting Sierra Leone via the UN to help the West African government combat a rebel group, Revolutionary United Front (RUF)
A source from the production house states “It has been researched extensively and will be mounted on a really large scale. It will be a true depiction of a massive military operation and will celebrate our heroes. The director and cast are being finalised, the film will roll later this year. It will be shot in real locations in Africa with some real armed combat battle scenes.”
We feel that you guys are cheering already!
