Sara Ali Khan dragged to the court by a film producer
Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan, was all set to make her big Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. The film, also starring Sushant Singh Rajput, was all set to release on the occasion of Christmas 2018. However, due to the unexpected and irreparable differences between the producers Prernaa Arora and Arjun N. Kapoor (KriArj Entertainment) and the director, Ronnie Screwvala was replaced as the film’s producer. Not only that, even before the makers could arrive at Kedarnath’s release date, which is now the 30th of November, 2018, Sara signed another big Bollywood film, the Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba, helmed by Rohit Shetty.
The producer, anonymous though, has alleged that Sara Ali Khan had committed her dates to Kedarnath under an agreement made last September, but went on to sign Rohit Shetty’s film, which irked the person. It has also been stated that Sara was asked to shoot for Kedarnath from May till July 5, but when her agent informed that she wouldn’t be available in the month of June due to the clash with the schedule of Simmba, all hell broke loose, and now the producer has demanded Rs. 5 crores as damages.
The debutante is yet to comment on this issue, but if summoned by the High Court, she could be in a serious problem.
