Ranbir Kapoor, who is all set to be the on-screen Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, is all set to share screen space with him, and no, it’s not going to be in this film. The duo will be working together for the first time in YRF’s Shamshera, where Ranbir will portray the role of a dacoit for the first time. But if you thought he would be playing a negative role, the answer is NO! Sanjay Dutt is the villain of Shamshera, and Ranbir and Sanjay maybe teaming up together for the film but definitely not in the film, but instead would be locking horns.
Talking about the actor, the director of the film, Karan Malhotra said, “Shamshera is a highly ferocious and fearless character in the film. Therefore his nemesis, the villain had to be even more fierce and monumental in every aspect. Who’s better than Sanjay Sir to give us that impact on screen?”
Karan Malhotra made his directorial debut with the 2012 Agneepath and gave Sanjay Dutt one of the most memorable and powerful characters of his career in the form of Kancha Cheena. Let’s see how far his villainous character in Shamshera goes.
On the work-front, Sanjay Dutt is doing another negative role in Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama, Panipat, releasing on the 6th of December, 2019. Other than this, he’ll also be seen in Torbaaz, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and Kalank.
