“Sanjay Could Not Find A Khilji For Me”- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been in the news these days as her movie Fanney Khan has released and it has been getting a mixed response from the audience. Now we all know Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one director who brings out the best in actors and one such female actor was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have worked together in films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Guzaarish which went on to be big hits. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also said in many interviews before that he wanted to make Bajirao Mastani with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan but that didn’t happen after the nasty breakup between the two.

Now in a recent interview when asked if she would work with Sanjay again this is what she had to say “Bajirao Mastani also we were supposed to do together. He didn’t get the Bajirao for me. He didn’t get the Khilji for me; He wanted me to do Padmaavat, but could not get the Khilji for me, at the casting time. So, that’s how it didn’t happen. I would love to work together.”

“The person he saw to play Khilji with me playing Padmavati did not happen. So, at the end of the day, you need to see the casting. If the casting is not happening, then you know…sometimes, it doesn’t come together. The intention is always there to work together, but it didn’t happen. We both loved working with each other, so let’s see, whenever it is meant to be.”
