Salman’s Wanted to make a comeback after 7 years!
One of Salman’s best performances, Wanted released in 2009 and since then everyone is eagerly waiting for the film’s sequel to release. Now we can finally say that all our wishes have come true as this Salman starrer, Wanted is making a comeback after 7 long years!
Back in the year 2009, Wanted’s director Prabhu Deva, producers Boney Kapoor and Sridevi along with superstar Salman Khan were accused of copyright infringement and plagiarism. Birbal Singh Rana, a writer-director from Meerut claimed that the Boney’s production house, BSK Network and Entertainment had stolen his script.
According to recent reports, Rana had submitted the script of his movie, Raja Bhai IPS at the BSK Network and Entertainment office and the makers had stolen it from there. However, these claims have now been dismissed.
The Allahabad court has finally ruled in Boney’s favour and the makers have been acquitted of all charges. Boney also made it known to the court that, Rana was blackmailing Boney for an out-of-court settlement and demanded 75 lacs to withdraw the case as he said, “I was shocked when I got the first summons, more so when the lower court in Meerut accused us of copyright infringement without proper verification of the script. The petitioner then started harassing and blackmailing us, trying to extort money for no fault of ours.”
Boney confirmed the news saying, “I will roll with Wanted 2 whenever I have the right script for the film. It is very difficult to imagine Wanted 2 without Salman.”
