Salman to fly solo for Tubelight!
Salman Khan debuted in the field of production in the year 2014 with the launch of Salman Khan Films (SKF). SKF produced movies like Dr Cabbie, Hero and even Bajrangi Bhaijaan, but none of these were solo productions.
In a major development, the actor plans to go completely solo soon, with his next release, director Kabir Khan’s, ‘Tubelight’.
A source close to the star revealed, “Salman has a team at his production house to plan things in advance. He wanted to set up a production house that will be independent of time and will make and release films on its own. Since its inception, they have done a lot of homework and made a strong long-term plan. As for the actor, his stardom is only getting bigger with each release. So the team now feels that the production house can finally handle everything on its own.”
Amar Butala, CEO of Salman Khan Films is overlooking the entire process to ensure nothing goes wrong. The source further added, “Apart from production, SK Films will also market and release the film on its own. Instead of selling their film to a studio, they will be taking on the risk of doing it themselves.”
Meanwhile, ‘Sultan’ continues its march towards the Rs 300 crore club.
