Salman Khan admits crying during Tubelight
During the trailer launch of his soon to be released film Tubelight, the tough Salman Khan admitted that he is quite an emotional person and his acting skills are rather limited. He also shared his experience of working with brother Sohail Khan and director Kabir Khan, which he deemed to be quite an emotional journey for him.
During the event, he said, “I am a limited performer and everybody knows that, but because Sohail was playing my brother, maybe that’s why I was feeling very emotional.”
Salman shared a memory from the times he was dubbing for the film which also made our eyes well up. He said “In fact, during the dubbing of the film also, being a grown up man, my tears were coming up… it was really bad! And coming from us (Pathans) is really bad. When I was in jail, one day my mother, father and one of my uncles came to see me there and seeing my condition, my uncle started crying. So my father told him, ‘kaise Pathan ho yaar tum, roh rahe ho'(what kind of a Pathan are you? You are crying!)”
Salman Khan also shared his sorrows of losing key people from his life such as the late veteran actor Om Puri who has essayed a role in Tubelight, and Reema Lagoo, who has played his mother in films like Hum Aapke Hai Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hai.
On that topic, Salman added “It is very sad. We lost VD (Late actor Vinod Khanna) a few months ago, then I got to know that Reema ji is also no more with us, it is really sad. I think within the last couple of months, I lost some very close people”
Salman and Sohail had shown the trailer to their mother Salma Khan on Wednesday.
On that topic, he said “This time she will pray more as both of her sons are working on the film”
Tubelight will hit theaters on June 23
