Why Salman and Katrina had a family in Tiger Zinda Hai?

Tiger Zinda Hai, the YRF juggernaut that has ended 2017 on a blockbuster high for Hindi cinema, has won immense love and appreciation from audiences for its strong plot. A story where Tiger and Zoya, married and with child, choose to stand up to protect their country and the innocent people and risk their lives, has found high acceptance. In the first film, Ek Tha Tiger, which was also a record-breaking blockbuster, Zoya and Tiger romance each other across the world, presenting a thrilling love story. In the sequel, their life gets settled, and their love has matured.

Explaining the significance of Tiger and Zoya as a family here, director Ali Abbas Zafar says, “In the sequel, we were very clear that we present Tiger and Zoya as a family and to choose their duty over family. Anyone whose heart is in the right place would do the same to stand up for their country and people, and that forms the crux of the film’s plot. The idea is to rise above their everyday life for the larger cause – that of humanity. When you see Tiger and Zoya’s a family, the ability to relate to these characters increase, which is evident in the great response that Tiger Zinda Hai has gotten so far. Also, by them choosing their country and choosing to save lives, they are imparting outstanding values to their child. Everyone must tell their children that they should always stand for humanity, for peace.”

Superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have played their parts as dedicated intelligence agents who pull off daredevil stunts and action to rescue innocent nurses, held hostage by a dreaded terrorist. Their impossible mission, coupled with mega action visual extravaganza has made the film wreak havoc at the box office. The film is set to blast past well over the 200 crore mark in just seven days.
