Saif Ali Khan to return as a villain for this film?
Saif Ali Khan made for an immensely chilling and menacing villain in Ek Hasina Thi and Omkara. For all those who perceived the actor as an urban, cool-as-a-cucumber and a niche actor, who once also handled the criticism for those long furls and feminine appearance, shockingly transformed into this cold-blooded, hideous monster unleashing havoc on his protagonists. Now, reports suggest the actor is all set to be back in the role of a villain for a big Hindi film.
The film in question is Ajay devgn’s mega-ambitious Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, being directed by Om Raut. A source says,: The Taanaji team believes that Saif will make for an interesting choice to play Udaybhan Rathod, the Rajput officer and fortkeeper appointed by Jai Singh, chief of the Moghul army under Aurangzeb. The film recounts the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670, which was fought between Tanaji Malusare, a commander in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army, and Udaybhan. The former sacrificed his life to recapture Sinhagad Fort from the Moghuls.”
This shall mark Khan and Devgn’s reunion almost 13 years after Omkara! Are you excited for the pairing?
