Saif Ali Khan opens up on Kaalakaandi!

Amongst the usual run of the mill commercial entertainers, films like Dear Zindagi, Delhi Belly, and Dil Dhadakne Do are proof that makers do not shy away from making unconventional movies. The latest addition to these kinds of films is Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi, a project that he is really excited to be a part of.

Speaking about the same with a leading tabloid, Saif said “Kaalakaandi is one of the best movies I’ve been in. Akshat has done a stellar job reflecting the soul of Mumbai. It highlights its underbelly and counterculture so brilliantly, and for that, it needs to be celebrated,”

To this, director Akshat Verma added “Kaalakaandi is a labor of love. It is something that my team and I have been working on for a few years now. The role was tailor-made for Saif and he has done a swell job with his performance. We are overwhelmed with the response that we have received for the teaser and can’t wait to finally showcase the film to the audience,”

We had reported way back that Saif will be playing the part of a sick man with a bucket list of exploring all the vices like never before, and we are pleased to see as to how is that shaping up.
