Saif Ali Khan launches a new production house after Illuminati Films!

Saif Ali Khan, who earlier collaborated with Dinesh Vijan for Illuminati Films, has gone solo to launch his new banner named Black Knight Films. The actor has also signed the film with director Nitin Kakkar titled Jawani Jaaneman. Apparently, the film will be taken ahead in association with Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films under the banner of Black Knight Films.

Though Sailf is yet to confirm the news, Jay, who was speaking about its development to a daily was quoted saying, “When I ventured out from Tips, the first director I approached was Nitin Kakkar. Around that time, I was developing the script of Jawaani Jaaneman; I narrated it to Nitin who loved it and that’s how it all fell in place.”

Meanwhile, the film is said to be a family comedy drama revolving around the relationship of a 40 year old man and his daughter. Rumors were also doing the rounds that the movie might have Saif’s real life daughter Sara Ali Khan on board to play his reel life daughter.

However, a source to a daily said, “There was speculation about Sara working with her father in the film directed by Nitin, but things didn’t work out. Now, the makers will cast a fresh face. Saif and Jay are personally looking into the casting as the actor believes that an author-backed role like this is perfect for a debutante,”

The film is expected to go on floor in 2019 once the entire star cast is locked.
