Saif Ali Khan’s Chef passed with a U/A certificate

Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming film Chef has created a lot of buzz amongst the audience. Saif will be playing a chef in the film. The film recently has recently passed by the censor board with UA certificate. Th reason why the film was given a U/A will shock you. Apparently, the censor board has given the film a U/A certificate as Saif plays a is divorcee and he smokes in the film.

Speaking about the same the director of the film Raja Krishna Menon said “Apparently you can’t have a hero separated from his wife and smoking in a ‘U’ film. The word ‘a**h*le’ had to go. To think that would be a problem was surprising because frankly there is no bad language in the film,”

The U/A certificate has got a not so good response from the audience as people were expecting that CBFC would be more sensible in certifying films after Pahlaj Nihalani leaving the censor board.

Chef is an official remake of the Hollywood hit film of the same name. Apart from Saif, the film also stars Padmapriya, a South Indian actress and Svar Kamble, a child actor. The film will be produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment.

The film is all set to hit the screens on October 6th, 2017.
