SACRED GAMES 2: Nawazuddin Siddiqui hikes his fee, Saif to be paid the same!

Recently, it was actor Rajkummar Rao who hiked his fee post the success of his release Stree. Well, the next one to follow his footsteps is none other than the Manto actor Nawazuddin Sidiqui. The actor’s career is on a roll since his powerful performance as the menacing gangster Ganesh Gaitonde in Netflix’s much loved web series Sacred Games. Now, Nawaz, who has gained much success and critical appreciation post the series, has reportedly hiked his fee for the second season and that too double of his co-star Saif Ali Khan.

Confirming the news, a source close to the development was quoted saying to a leading daily, “Sacred Games is Nawaz’s most successful work to date. When the producers wanted to do a second season, Nawaz made it very clear that he deserved a lot more, almost the double of what he got for Season 1. His co-star Saif, however, gets the same amount that he got for Season 1.”

On being asked about it, the versatile actor said to a daily “The big producers are paying me what I ask for. And I ask for what I deserve. When I do a Sacred Games I am empowered to do a Manto for free.”
