REVEALED: Tubelight run time and censor board details
Salman’s Tubelight run time is nothing like Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Salman Khan‘s Tubelight is all set to hit the screens this Eid. Director Kabir Khan is known for making films with longer run time. But this time things don’t look the same with Tubelight.
As reported by leading daily, “Kabir Khan’s films are usually lengthier than the stipulated two hours that the multiplex-viewing audience favours. His last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan was nearly three hours long and worked just fine. Tubelight was edited and readied at a run time of two hours and 35 minutes. But the team decided to slash the film by 19 more minutes just a week before its release,” said a source.
This will be one of Salman’s shortest films. His last release Sultan was 2 hours, 50 minutes long. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was 2 hours, 43 minutes long, and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was over three hours long.
Based on the 1962 border conflict between India and China, Tubelight also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Sohail Khan, Zeeshan Ayyub, Om Puri and Matin Rey Tangu in key roles.
The film will hit the silver screen on June 23.
