REVEALED: Salman Khan’s Bharat to be based on 1947 partition of India
Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bharat is in the news for quite some time. Director Ali Abbas Zafar has revealed many interesting details of the film and now we come to know that the film will be based on the 1947 Partition of India.
While speaking to a leading tabloid Ali said “Since the story spans over a period of 70 years, there will be many historical references. It is essentially about a man who lives through several significant moments from India’s past to present. We are currently working on the film’s pre-production and details will be announced once we are in a position to talk about them.”
He further said “The Partition sequences will be shot in Punjab, keeping in mind the minute details which have been researched over the last three months. Original steam engines will be used for this shoot along with art, costumes, and nuances, which will give the feel of that era.”
Though the story looks interesting but what comes to our mind is after the failure of Tubelight which was also slightly based on the 1962 Sino-Indian war, will Salman Khan be able to impress his fans again?
Bharat is slated to hit the screens on Eid 2019.
