Salman Khan’s Eidi for 2018, Race 3 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of the year and trade experts are already hailing it to be the biggest success of 2018 as if the trailer is to go by, Bhai is all geared up for raising the bar in the action department with some insanely choreographed stunts. And now, as if it wasn’t enough so already, Race 3 will not only have Khan in the capacity of an actor, producer and a songwriter, but the film will also mark Khan’s entry into film distribution as well.
But, how and why did the man decide to take this huge step? Well, the reason may not surprise you!
One of the many reasons that Salman Khan is known for is his spontaneous nature and his ability to hit a masterstroke almost all the time he does something on an impromptu basis, and his foray into the film distribution sphere, contrary to popular belief, is another example of that!
Speaking about the same, a source was quoted saying, “The plan initially was to distribute Race 3 with the help of a third-party distributor. Co-producer Ramesh Taurani was trying to find a distributor for the film too, but because of the high cost that they were quoting, no one was willing to take it up. There were several companies pitching for the movie, but the price was not right. The makers had thought that if they did not find anyone, they would request Yash Raj Films to distribute the film on a profit-sharing basis. But during a discussion, Salman decided to step in and start his own distribution wing in Salman Khan Films with Race 3. Not only will it help him to have direct control and contact with the exhibitors, but he will also maximize his profits.”
Well, we guess that with this move, he can also avoid shelling out hefty amounts to distributors in case a loss is occurred by them. (Ahem, Tubelight, Ahem!)
