Akshay Kumar is on cloud nine. The actor is has been cast in a film which is co-produced by Salman Khan and Karan Johar. The movie will be directed by Anurag Singh and is slated for a 2018 release. This has happened for the first time in Bollywood, where a mega-star has signed another mega-star in his film. Khiladi Kumar is too happy about it and said
“This is the first time that a big actor like himself asked the other actor to sign a film and to do a film. It only happens in Hollywood. It hasn’t happened here. I have never come across anything like this. So, I think it is a great thing and if it is successful then this can become a trend. Hats off to that man to come up with the fact, to put his own money on the other actor.”
The ‘Airlift’ actor further added regarding his friendship with Salman and said, “Friendship doesn’t mean we have to meet every day. We don’t meet every day. I have never been to his place and he’s never been to my place. But we have a mutual admiration. I admire him from far way and he admires me from far away.”
Rumors are rife that the plot of the movie is based on the Battle of Saragarhi. To this, the actor said, “Nothing is finalized yet. Everything is still going on.”
