Rani Mukherjee gets her heart shattered by Abhishek Bachchan!

Many of the masterpieces that have been delivered by the Indian Film industry have been an outcome of the sizzling chemistry between then alleged partners Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bachchan. Films like Yuva, Bunty Aur Babli and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna to name a few amongst many, have gained tremendous box office success, critical appreciations and garnered the love of the audience for the couple.

Speculations had been then making rounds of the two to tie the knot soon, and if reports from the time are to be believed, AB Jr’s mother dearest Jaya Bachchan wasn’t all too accepting of the off-screen chemistry of the two. Given the situation, Abhishek reportedly took a step back and severed all possible ties with Mukherjee. A few years later, Bachchan Jr. tied the knot with Aishwarya Rai. Rani Mukherjee wasn’t even on the guest list.

Rani Mukherjee, now happily married to revered film maker Aditya Chopra, owner of the production house Yash Raj Films, speaks about the sweet relation gone sour with a leading daily. On the topic of not being invited to the marriage, she had to say “Only Abhishek can throw light on that. The truth is that if a person chooses not to invite you to their wedding, you realize where you stand with the person. You may be deluded and think you are friends but maybe the friendship was only restricted to being co-stars on the sets.” From this quote, we smell the ashes of the heart that had been beating for her “friend” at the time.

She added “It doesn’t matter. It became very clear and evident that we were only co-actors and not friends. Moreover inviting someone to a wedding is a personal choice. Tomorrow when I decide to get married, I will choose the handful of people I want to invite. A lot has been blown out of proportion. Poor guy has been married for many years, we should all move on. I will always have fond memories of working with him.”. Seems like she has been pointing to certain things that have been off the media grid and have gone out of hand between Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bachchan.

Fast forward to today, Abhishek and Aishwarya have been happily married ever since and are parents to baby girl Aaradhya. Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra are also happy in their married life, in which they are blessed with their less than a year old daughter Adira.

Whatever case it may be, B-town fall-outs, although a common thing in the Indian film fraternity, are always heart shattering ones. The sad and unanticipated parting of our dearest Bunty and Babli of Bollywood has been one of them.
