Rajkummar Rao finalized for Meghna Gulzar’s film with Deepika Padukone?

Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar are collaborating to tell the world the horrific story of Laxmi Agarwal, who became a victim of an acid attack at a mere age of 15. This shall also mark Padukone’s foray into film production. There were reports that the makers wanted either Rajkummar Rao or Ayushmann Khurrana for the role, and now it seems they have finalized Rao for the part. Given his penchant for unconventional subjects, they thought he was the best bet.

A source also shed light on the news and said, “Although it is unclear what role the actor would be essaying, but it would be pretty interesting to witness a new pair onscreen telling this important story.” We also reported how the actor would be required for only 20-25 days as the entire film is about Padukone’s character. She’ll be participating in a 45-day schedule that will happen from start to finish.
