The promo song of Jagga Jasoos gets trashed!

The team of Ranbir and Katrina’s long awaited release Jagga Jasoos has finally confirmed the July 14 release date with a poster. Here’s the poster for you all:

The news around town is that the promotions of the film were going to kick start with a promotional song, which a source says will not happen anymore!

The makers have planned to drop the idea of the song since both the leads have their diaries full, with Ranbir and Katrina giving away all their dates to the Sanjay Dutt biopic and Tiger Zinda Hai respectively.

A source close to the affair stated “It was a last minute decision to shoot for the number but now it is practically impossible. Besides the actors’ packed diary, the makers are concerned that their physique has altered since they shot for the film. Ranbir has bulked up to look like Dutt( Sanjay Dutt biopic) and Katrina has acquired an athletic figure for Tiger Zinda Hai ( Co-starring Salman Khan).”

That seems like a fair explanation, doesn’t it?

But, we are sure that Ranbir and Katrina fans won’t be missing out on much since this detective film is a musical the narrative of which has been bound together with a total of 29 songs!

Pritam confirms it by saying:  “There are 29 songs in all. You see, Ranbir Kapoor stutters throughout the film, the only time he doesn’t, is when he sings. And every time he expresses an emotion strongly, it’s through songs. Think of the effortlessness and the way the songs are featured in La La Land. They’re part of the story. And the narrative flows forward through it.”
