Priyanka Chopra trolled for her bridal shower dress, the actress responds!

Priyanka Chopra was all smiles a few days ago during her Bridal Shower. We all know she’s all set to get married to her beau Nick Jonas on December 1. Alas, the mercilessness of the social media trolls suddenly and unexpectedly took over and short-lived the actor’s happiness. She was trolled for her dress and the reason is not what you think, it has something to do with the #MeToo Movement.

If you remember, this movement started in the West with Harvey Weinstein being called out for multiple sexual harassment allegations and charges. Now, Chopra’s bridal dress has a Weinstein connect. The dress has been designed by his ex-wife Georgina Chapman, and PeeCee had to face a backlash on social media. The actress, however, recently came out in her decision’s defense and said, “Georgina’s a friend of mine, and she has been. And it’s not her fault. And I don’t think it’s right to take it out on a self-made woman what somebody in her life did….That’s the wrong attitude.”

She continued, “I’ve known her for years, and that was a beautiful gown, and deserved to be worn by a bride-to-be. And it made me feel like a princess. It was the right choice.”
