Plagiarism case filed against Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man
Just when you thought everything was going all well with Akshay Kumar’s recent release Pad Man then this bomb drops.
Ripu Daman Jaiswal has charged the makers with a charge of plagiarism. Ripu claims that the written script which he wrote was sent to Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and somehow the script is an exact copy of Pad Man.
Ripu tried to raise his voice in December last year, but nothing much could be said or done till the movie releases. But now that ‘Pad man’ has hit the theatres, Ripu pointed out many similarities between his script and the movie’s script.
In more recent posts on his Twitter profile, Ripu claimed that almost 11 scenes have been copied from his script and that he would definitely go to court. In another post, he shared a screenshot of his script and pointed out how a line from it has been borrowed directly in the film.
Intermission of PadMan. 11 scenes has been copied from my script uptil now and even one of the character. That’s it. I am definitely going to court.

I remember I was in the library when I wrote this dialogue and was truly elated. Honestly, I surprised myself that day. Tell me, how on earth can you steal someone’s dialogue?
This is unfair.(Amitabh Bachchan quoted this dialogue in PadMan.) pic.twitter.com/9mQN3Jlt8T
