Padmavati: British censor board certifies Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film with no cuts
While Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated epic drama Padmavati is facing issues for its release in India, the film has been successfully certified by the British Board of Film Certification (BBFC) without a single cut. BBFC has passed Padmavati for its official release on December 1 in the United Kingdom.
The movie has been cleared for a 12A audience (12 years and above, to be accompanied by an adult). The runtime of the film is 164 minutes and has Moderate Violence, injury detail.
Well, this surely comes as a big sad news for us as we being Indian’s are not allowed to watch a film which is based Indian history.
The controversies surrounding the movies started ever since the movie was announced. First, the sets of the film were attacked and now the communal groups have gone so far that they have publicly threatened of beheading Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Eventually, the makers had to shift their release date and reports have it that the film might release early next year.
And we say, we are progressive and going towards development.
