Padman: Akshay Kumar turns superhero for his next

Akshay Kumar is all set to turn a superhero for his next and it is not Rajnikanth’s 2.O. Akshay Kumar shared a new poster of his upcoming film Padman and the poster has a tagline of ‘Superhero Hai Yeh Pagla’.

In the poster we see Akshay standing on a pile of cotton. With the setup, it looks like he is all set for making sanitary pads.

Padman will speak about the issue of menstruation and female hygiene which is still considered a taboo in many parts of the country.

The comedy-drama is inspired by the life of Coimbatore-based Arunachalam Muruganantham, who found a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village.

Earlier Padman was going to clash with Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar’s magnum opus 2.O. But later Akshay clarified that both the film will not release together.

Now the film will clash with Aiyaary which stars Sidharth, Anupam Kher, Rakul Preet and Manoj Bajpayee.
