Padmaavat: When Rishi Kapoor took a dig at Ranveer Singh!

Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor’s much talked (and protested) about flick, Padmaavat has finally started screening for the general public in theatres across the country (Well, still barring a few places here and there).

But, what could have happened had the film not seen the light of day? Well, let Rishi Kapoor answer that for you.

Yes, the superstar Kapoor, who is born with no filters at all, has been famous (or rather, infamous) for voicing out his opinions or even cracking a joke once in a while which is bound to offend someone or the other, and this time he has given a yet another proof that.

But, even after all that he is fired on Twitter, he maintained a certain level of dignity, until recently.

As it turns out, Rishi, thinking that he is being quite witty with the wordplay and all, tweeted out that if Padmaavat had not made it to the theatres, Ranveer Singh would have done “Johar”.

This stems out from the fact that the Jauhar scene in Bhansali’s magnum opus is one of the most talked about scenes in the film.

While we would have for once passed it off as outrageous but a case of mis-spelling, he accompanied his tweet with a picture of the famous kiss that Ranveer landed on Karan Johar’s lips during 2014’s AIB Knockout Roast.

So, Jauhar and Johar, get it? get it?

Well, we know that’s not really the kind of joke that must be cracked in the given scenario, but Rishi ji also understood that in due time, and hence deleted the tweet after understanding what he could have landed himself into.
