OH NO! When 2 songs got AXED from Padmaavat!
We finally got to see (rather, hear) the whole jukebox of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming epic magnum opus, Padmaavat. While we are eagerly waiting for the video version of one of the songs in particular (Ahem, Ranveer Singh’s Khalibali, Ahem!), we were SHOCKED to see that only one out of the three songs that Shreya Ghoshal had promised to croon for the epic drama made it to the final list.
So, what really happened?
As it turns out, the CBFC is responsible for it.
A source says, “Shreya had three songs in the album but because of the changes in the script, her songs had to be left out. The makers had no option than to remove those songs after the recommendations from the CBFC.”
Outraged, a fan tweeted out to the talented singer, which read:
@shreyaghoshal hereafter you may have to charge separately for singing & for using you as a brand – making you sing, releasing your songs earliest, making millions of us hype, then the song is not in the film – this has become a trend

To which, Shreya replied:
Sweetheart.. Please don’t be upset. These things happen during the creative process of making an extraordinary film. It’s unavoidable. There are many songs recorded in a film, then script changes, scenes get modified. So some good songs gets unfortunately left out unintentionally

Well, Indeed! If it only wasn’t for the Karni Sena.
