It’s a common thing to hear about actors’ surrendering to the director’s vision to achieve what the overall crew had set out to do, and it’s no different in Dhawan’s case either. But, it’s reportedly a different thing altogether if you’re surrendering to the likes of Sircar, which, as per the man himself, was a brave thing to do on Dhawan’s part.
In a recent interaction with a portal, Shoojit, while relaying his thoughts on the actor, shared that he is a, “little plant that needs a lot of nurturing. Then it becomes a strong tree. And small plants are always lovely to nurture. So I considered him like that on the day he came on to the set. There is an actor in every person, every person is an actor, there is a lot of creativity inside, but you need the right place to burst out and throw yourself. He threw himself. I just wanted a clean surrender and I was completely amazed that he surrendered himself and it was really brave of him to do so. ”
