Not Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh was the first choice for Zero?

Shah Rukh Khan, who impressed both critics and audiences with his boisterous performance as a dwarf in Aanand L. Rai’s Zero, was not actually the first choice for the film. A report says the first choice of Rai was the perpetually over-the-top and zealous, Ranveer Singh. A source said, “The discussions between Aanand and Ranveer were done and the deal had been finalized. Just when the project was all set to go on floors, SRK showed interest in it.”

It went on to add, “He not only wanted to play the lead role but was also keen on co-producing the film with Aanand. The cast was changed overnight and Ranveer found himself out of Zero.” Well, someone has truly said every cloud has a silver lining. While this Rai directorial is now struggling to stay afloat, thanks to its esoteric plot and polarized reactions, Singh’s Simmba is on its way to become a Blockbuster! It has all the chances to become Rohit Shetty’s biggest hit.
