Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife sues Filmfare!

We had reported earlier that Nawazuddin Siddiqui had sent a legal notice to Filmfare for publishing a misleading article which had a picture of the actor with an unknown lady. The magazine reported the lady to be her wife. The magazine was given a period of 7 days to fix the article. But, they did not even bother to respond.

Now, The lawyer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife, Rizwan Siddique reportedly filed a defamation case against Filmfare for a yet another article which claimed that their marriage is on the rocks.

In response to this, the advocate stated  “It is indeed shocking that a leading magazine published an absolutely false, misleading and defamatory article concerning my client and her husband Mr. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, wherein they falsely stated that my client and her husband are separated. They did not even bother to authenticate facts with my client or her husband before recklessly publishing the said false article. This article has compromised the respect and reputation of my client, her husband and her school going children. She was left with no option but to take legal recourse.”

Siddiqui has rubbished all rumors and clarified that he is happily married to his wife Anjali Siddiqui and living happily with their children

This proves to be a lesson for all the dailies out there to check their facts before making any information public
