Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s connection with Rajnikanth

In a recent interview while promoting his upcoming film ‘Freaky Ali’, Nawazuddin revealed an interesting connection he shared with superstar Rajnikanth.

When Nawaz was asked, whom he prefers between his two recent heroines, Radhika Apte or Amy Jackson, he said , “Mujhe beech main realise huya, jiske saath maine kaam kiya hai, pata chala unka next film Rajinikanth ke saath hai”. What Nawaz said made sense, Radhika worked with him in ‘Badlapur’ and ‘Manjhi-The Mountain Man’ and then went on to work with the megastar Rajnikanth in ‘Kabali’ and now Amy Jackson who is his co-star in ‘Freaky Ali’ will next be seen opposite Rajni in ‘Robot 2.0’.

Even Amy Jackson agreed and was amused by this co-incidence. She called Nawaz her lucky charm, she went on to say, “You have to do a real proper film before you get to Rajini and that’s what the ‘Freaky Ali’ experience was all about”.

Nawaz and Amy’s ‘Freaky Ali’ opens in cinemas today, it will be interesting to see this fresh pair on screen together who are poles apart and as different as chalk and cheese.
