Mouni Roy to begin shooting for Akshay Kumar’s Gold in August?

We were the first ones to inform you all that television hottie Mouni Roy will making her big Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar in Gold. Now we have the news that Mouni will be on a 25-day long schedule with Akshay in August. Mouni is currently busy with the shoot of the second season of Naagin, after which she will begin filming for her big Bollywood debut.

According to a report by a leading daily, “Mouni will be seen in a completely different avatar to suit the era. She will film for 20-25 days in August and is one of the few female characters in the otherwise male-dominated narrative. She will be shooting extensively with Akshay.”

Gold is a historical sports drama which will showcase the journey of India winning its 1st gold medal as a free nation in the Olympics, 1948.

Last year the 31-year-old actress even did a small cameo in Anubhav Sinha‘s Tum Bin 2.
