Masaan actress Shweta Tripathi and Vikrant Massey explore Benares!

The Masaan and Haraamkhor actress Shweta Tripathi has been applauded for her various roles she has donned on screen. The actress was recently in news for bagging an important role in Amazon Prime’s next, Mirzapur which is being produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The series has a rural setting from north of India as its background for the series, which belongs to the crime drama genre, which will be shot extensively in the heartland of India, Benares.

The show in question also stars Vikrant Massey and the duo has been taking breaks from their hectic shoot schedules to explore Benares. The city is known for its impeccable history and religious lore. The duo has been taking this opportunity to truly explore the city and learn more about it.

Quite often, they were spotted visiting different places in Benares and even binging on street food. They both share the passion of eating, reading and traveling.

However, this won’t be the first time Shweta will be shooting in the holy land. In fact, her debut film Masaan was extensively shot in Benares as well, so naturally, she felt quite nostalgic.

When asked Shweta she said, “Benares always brings back Masaan memories and hence on the day we had an early pack up, I took Massey straight to the cafe where Vicky and I had our famous ‘Ab tou hum friends ban gaye na’ scene from Masaan. I always sit in the same spot and order the same things, cold coffee and a margarita pizza.”
