The makers of Bombay Talkies to re-unite!
As a token of respect to the Indian cinema, which became a century old in the year 2013, Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap directed their own short films and made an anthology out of it and called it Bombay Talkies.
The concept of multiple stories in one film is a concept which has been tried at frequent intervals in Indian cinema in one way or the other, and none of the attempts have satisfied our audience yet. This time, the quartet have joined hands once again to release an another anthology.
After multiple sessions of brainstorming, the quartet has zeroed down on the theme of love and lust. The project is yet to be titled. Ronnie Screwvala and Ashi Dua have come forward to produce the film. Bhumi Pednekar and Neil Bhoopalam have already been approached for Zoya’s story.
In the meanwhile, other producers are still deciding on their stories which should go on floors later this year. The compilation should ideally release next year, as per a source.
We are counting on this one. Can the quartet deliver this time?
