When Madhavan behaved pricey to do Fanney Khan!

We were saddened when we got to know that R. Madhavan, who was almost roped in to play Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s love interest in Fanney Khan, walked out of the project. But, we were happy to see that soon after that, Bareilly Ki Barfi star Rajkummar Rao was then later taken for the part. We had been hearing for a while that R.Madhavan did not join the cast since he did not have enough dates to give the makers. But, an insider tells a different story altogether.

The source says, “The real story is that Madhavan asked for a huge remuneration. He wanted Rs 1.5 crore for a 15-day shoot. And the makers felt that it was not justified. The plan is to make the film within a certain budget and the price quoted by Maddy didn’t align with that. It was mutually decided he couldn’t be part of the film and Rajkummar Rao was brought in immediately.”

Well, we too agree that his demand was a bit too unreasonable. Saala Khadoos.

But guess we have nothing to cry over, since Rajkummar is an actor who gives his heart and soul to a role, irrespective of the part, and his last film is proof. We can trust Rao to bring the same kind of magic to Fanney Khan as well.
