Kiara Advani joins the mammoth cast of Karan Johar’s Kalank but with a difference!

Abhishek Varman, the man who made 2 States in 2014, is now gearing up for Kalank, possibly one of the biggest ensemble films in recent times. This period drama already boasts off names like Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha. Now, Karan Johar, the producer, has roped in Kiara Advani for a special appearance in the film and the same was confirmed by the actress in her recent interview.

Talking about her cameo, she said, “I am very excited for my special appearance in Kalank since it’s a huge film and it’s the first time I am doing something in the period space. I have finished shooting for that.” The actress seems to have become Johar’s favorite since he directed her in the anthology, Lust Stories.  On the work-front, she also has Vikram Batra’s biopic with Sidharth Malhotra and Good News with Diljit Dosanjh, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan, both produced by KJo.

Not only that, she’ll also star with Shahid Kapoor in the remake of the Telugu Blockbuster, Arjun Reddy, titled Kabir Singh. She also shed light on these films and said, “I have just begun shooting for both Kabir Singh and Good News simultaneously and it’s going very well. We are excited to continue the shoot and make a really good movie for the audience so, it has been a busy month.”

Kabir Singh is slated to release on June 21, 2019 whereas Good News will come out on July 19!
