Karni Sena: ‘Padmavati’ presenting wrong historical facts!
It seems like the activists of a local organization from Jaipur named Karni Sena have accused the movie ‘Padmavati’ for supposedly misrepresenting the historical facts. This organization is also going against the film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also their shoot at the Jaigarh fort.
Mr. Bhansali was slapped, beaten and his hair was pulled by the protesters of the Rajput Karni Sena. These Rajputs also alleges that the film shows a rich-hearted Rajput queen in disgraceful radiance.
It has been observed that the movie consists of some love scenes flanked by Queen Padmini and ruler Alauddin Khijli which was never a part of the historical fact. The Karni sena also openly states that the proud Queen was always acknowledged for taking her own life rather submitting her to Alauddin, the emperor who attacked the Chittorgarh Fort.
Looking at the historical facts, it seems that Queen Padmini committed “Jauhar” or immolated herself with scores of other women as Alauddin Khilji waited to surmount the fort and claim her.
The activist Vikram Singh stated that “The film is presenting wrong facts about ‘Padmavati’. Our basic protest is about the distortion of historic facts which will not be tolerated.”
This seems to put the audience in a trauma already, way before the film even releases!
