Karan Johar: You weep and I laugh all the way to the bank
Karan Johar’s big Diwali release, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is creating a lot of buzz within the trade as well as with the audience. The film which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan, is much awaited. At a recent interaction, KJO mentioned that the movie is all about heartbreak and one-sided love, and therefore a tribute to himself and the films he has made in the past.
KJO said, “The film is an ode to myself without being self-indulgent. It is about the angst of falling in love without reciprocation. I am the brand ambassador of that emotion.” He added on a lighter note, “Every tear that you shed (when you watch a film of mine) is a dollar in my account. You weep and I laugh all the way to the bank.”
Kjo’s statement seems rather arrogant and with his film pitted against Ajay Devgn’s big ticket, ‘Shivaay’, we can just hope that he does not have to cry all the way to the bank instead.
