Karan Johar to be the judge for THIS film festival!
Filmmaking maestro Karan Johar has an eye for catchy and engaging cinema and his past few releases are a testimony of that. So, it did not come as surprise when we got to hear that after being on the jury of multiple shows in the past, Karan Johar is now going to be at the Judge’s table at the TIFFx Instagram Shorts Festival.
Yes, you read that right! Karan Johar will be on table f the upcoming second edition of the TIFFx Shorts festival and will be sharing the judges’ bench with the likes of Lake Bell, Ashton Sanders, Isabelle Huppert amongst others.
The festival will run from 9th to the 20th August and the winners will be decided on the 21st
Apart from this, KJo will also deliver a special master class at the IFFM Australia
Piers Handling, Director and CEO of TIFF said “TIFF remains committed to discovering and nurturing the talent of upcoming filmmakers,”
To which, he added “The TIFFxInstagram Shorts Festival presents a unique opportunity for TIFF to engage with emerging talent on a global scale. This year, we hope TIFFxInstagram encourages even more talent internationally to create and submit films, highlighting perspectives and experiences from around the world,”
The films will be 60 seconds long or less and the winners will win a trip to the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival in September.
