Was Kangana Ranaut rejected for the Majid Majidi film?

Deepika Padukone was caught by the shutterbugs while doing a look test for Majid Majidi’s film ‘Beyond The Clouds’ in Dhobi Ghat earlier last year. Later it was revealed that Kangana Ranaut was also approached for the same role.

The ‘Queen’ actress also went ahead and gave a statement in an interview. She said that her role was less meaty than the male lead in the film. But the reports suggests that Kangana failed to pass the look test and also that Majidi did not think that Kangana was suitable for the role.

Shahid Kapoor’s little brother Ishaan Khattar is making his Bollywood debut in the same film.
