Kangana Ranaut beats Kareena, Priyanka, Katrina and Deepika to become the highest paid actress!

Kangana Ranaut started her journey with a bang in 2006, making an impressive and arresting debut in Anurag Basu’s crime-drama Gangster. This was followed up to a yet another emotionally daunting and draining performance in Mohit Suri’s Woh Lamhe in the same year.  But just like any other actor in the Hindi film industry, her career saw a slump and she delivered one forgettable performance after another in multiple turkeys whose names have wiped out from the audiences’ consciousness.

However, it was in 2014, when Vikas Bahl made Queen and almost revived the actor’s decaying career graph. And with Aanand L. Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns in 2015, she truly became the box-office queen. For this very reason, despite four consecutive flops behind her- I Love New Year, Katti Batti, Rangoon & Simran, she has defeated Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone to become the highest paid actress of B’ Town.

For her next film, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, the actress has charged a whooping 14 crores, which happens to be more than any other actress’ remuneration. Let’s talk about the other top B’ Town actresses:-

Deepika, who has delivered one massive hit after another, charged 12 crores for her last outing Padmaavat, which was more than Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s fees. She usually charges 11 crores per film!

Our beloved Bebo took home 11 crores for Veere Di Wedding and the fact that the film was a commercial success, she may hike her fees for her next big release, Good News, with Akshay Kumar in the main lead.

Priyanka Chopra

Even though the Desi Girl hasn’t acted in a Hindi Film for over two years, she’s currently a global phenomenon and seizing no opportunity to exploit the same. She’s being paid over 12 crores for her next film The Sky Is Pink. And she truly deserves every bit of it!

Katrina Kaif

Katrina was on a roll till the blockbuster success of Dhoom 3 and the moderate profits of Bang Bang. However, after the failure of Phantom, Fitoor, Baar Baar Dekho and Jagga Jasoos, her market value dropped so did her box-office clout.
